Movie theatres were fine when we didn't have the home entertainment systems that exist today. Although I still like going to the movies, I'm not going to shell out to see EVRY movie on the big screen... certainly not when I can rent it/buy it and watch it at home, when the screen size is not a factor to my movie enjoyment. And with more movies being shot digitally, sometimes the movie theatre is not the best venue to enjoy that tehcnology. My favorite Jon Stewart joke was, "Martin Scorsese, 0 Oscars. Three 6 Mafia, one Oscar.". Maybe it’s time for movie theatres to re-evaluate how movies are delivered to their audiences.
