Ping Poäng

I’m now officially moved in, I think I got my last piece of furniture (the Ikea Poäng chair, see photo). There are a few more furnished photos in my Apartment album. The only thing left to do is to get a larger TV… the 13″ one don’t really cut it for movies and Xbox.

I’ve been pretty busy for the last little while, between trying to learn the Googely way of doing things at work and trying to get everything else figured out, outside of work. I’ve managed to get myself a social security number, and am on the road (ha ha) to getting my California driver’s license. That being said, I should have my own car early this week (maybe even tomorrow)… photos will be forthcoming once I pick it up.

    Like the Poang… you didn’t get the foot thing too?

    I should listen to more Death Cab… by “more” I mean “some” as I don’t right now. Listen.

    Hey! We got those same style of plates here! And I neglectfully leave them around the house too!

    Did you take them there from newfoundland or are they just internationally wildly popular?

    I took them from Newfoundland, so I can’t speak to their international popularity. :) And I expect many more of them to be neglectfully left around, now that I have my own place that nobody will tell me to clean up.

    Heya, just a few notes: I have the exact same credit problem, it was so weird, the banks wouldnt even TRY to get the cdn info from equifax and transunion….BUT when some Verizon wireless lady wanted to sign me up for a cell phone, she get my cdn credit WHILE I WAITED on the phone ( 30 secs or less and she saw my Royal Bank of canada accounts and that everything was in order….) BULL S#!t

    Oh, and don’t you wish there was an “apartment starter kit” at Ikea? 1 bed, kitchen stuff, coffee table…

    OH, and I failed my drivers test the first time in California. Watch those Red arrows!!
