Photo of the Week #2

Posted November 5th, 2006 in Photo of the Week, Photography

Today I took the “Outdoor Sculpture Walk” around Stanford campus, taking pictures as we went along. I got a couple of decent shots, but none of them were of sculptures. My pick for this week is a high-speed shot of a fountain (to freeze the drops of water) with a student reading a book in front. I think it came out pretty well.

As a note, this picture was cropped and straightened after the fact. That and maybe some colour correction is all the editing that I plan on letting myself do for these ‘Photo of the Week’ pictures, unless my goal for the week is to try something like HDR Photography, etc. This project is to make be a better photographer, and to encourage me to get out and do something photo-worthy every week–messing around with a digital image isn’t going to help me with either of those.
