This is the first of many photos from my cross-country (inter-country really, but I’m not driving across much of Canada) road trip. This is the famous Bellagio dancing fountain on the Las Vegas strip, taken Saturday night.

This week’s photo is yet another flower, this one orange. Not much to say about it, but I’ve been getting good comments about my flower photos, so I figured I’d milk it a bit and shoot another one.

This week’s photo is of a rose bush in Charleston Park. It’s also me trying out my close-up filters and trying to get the depth of field ‘just right’ for an image–for example, in this photo I wanted the rose in the upper right corner to be noticeable, but not the focus of the piece.
