This week’s photo is of a rose bush in Charleston Park. It’s also me trying out my close-up filters and trying to get the depth of field ‘just right’ for an image–for example, in this photo I wanted the rose in the upper right corner to be noticeable, but not the focus of the piece.
This week’s photo is of a bridge in Foothills Park. I took a drive up there today, and after not getting the photo I was looking for, I started to walk along the trail and found this, which I think turned out to be a better shot than the one I came looking for.
This week’s photo is another flower growing near my apartment. I liked the little pops of red and yellow in the background of this one, and is why I picked it.
This week’s photo is a little more abstract than most of mine, but I’m trying to learn/practice better composition, etc., so I’m trying to take photos that I would have overlooked before. This one is a section of the waterfalls in Charleston Park in Mountain View.
This week’s photo is a Calla Lily, on the grounds of my apartment complex.
This week’s photo was taken at Russian Ridge. I took a little drive there late this afternoon to take a few pictures. The ride up and back down the hill is pretty nice (very twisty); it’d be even better if the road was closed (so you could ride the center line), and with somebody to give pace notes.
This week’s photo is not anything overly exciting (but then again, most of them aren’t). This one is mostly me playing with some off camera lighting. If it means anything, the wine is Rosemount Estate Hill of Gold Shiraz.

For this week’s photo, I went back to Charleston Park. This photo was taken from the North side of the park (near Amphitheatre Parkway) looking South. It’s also my second photo of trees in a row.
