This week’s photo is of Lick Observatory in San Jose. It’s a nice winding drive up there, highly recommended in a roadster with the tops down (I hear a motorcycle works well too).

This week’s photo is of the lighthouse in Cape Spear, Newfoundland. It was a pretty nice day, and I really like the dramatic sky.

This week’s photo is the end of a game of Hive. I picked up the game this week after playing it online for a while. It’s a nice quick game, where you place your pieces and move them according to the rules for each type. The goal is to completely surround the opponent’s queen bee, as the black player as done in the photo.

Here’s this week’s photo. It’s from Friday’s San Jose Stealth lacrosse game. It had been quite some time since I watched professional lacrosse–I watched a lot of it in Ottawa, and one exhibition game back home in St. John’s. It’s an entertaining game to watch, but it might be a little very rough to play.

Lucky number 13–the photo where I have a cold and really didn’t feel like going anywhere, but I’m not letting any cold break the momentum I have going here.

This is the first close-up shot I’ve posted here. It’s also the first posted photo taken with my new 50mm f/1.8 lens.

This week’s photo was taken from the same place as photo #7 but this time on a clearer day, at dusk, and pointing in a different direction. I like this one a lot more than the my previous attempt–you can even see some of the bridges crossing the bay in this one.
